Pics Of The Day: Japanese GP, 250cc, Motegi

I've picked the top shot just because from an arty-farty design point of view I think it's a great shot - nothing more, nothing less. The others are all just to show the deserved elation on our happy little chappy... :-)

*happy sigh*

I loved this race. Amazingly enough all three races today were fun to watch, but this of course being the highlight. It's so nice to see his winner smile back. Even before the start there was something in his eyes, he looked relaxed and confident, quite differently to Qatar really. He's back. Confident and ready. This gets my hopes high for the rest of the season.

Simoncelli's tyre puncture was just cutting something short that would have happened anyway. He might have picked up more points without it, but would have been of the podium for sure (not to mention that Hiro and Bati had passed him already anyway). And right now it all seems a bit like Karma is finally coming back at everyone - good and bad. It's of course only the second race of the season and everything can happen, but Bati now started the *real* season on a good foot, silenced those annoying flamers and is in a much better position than he was last year. Can't wait for a repeat of this race in Jerez - with a better start though. :D

And I'm totally spamming people with epic-length comments today, but I don't care. :P
